Camp Kindle: Camp Kindle completed its 10th summer session in Nebraska and its 4th summer of service in California. We served over 160 young people with the help of 90 volunteer staff. Since our inception we have reached over 1,000 children and young adults through Camp Kindle. If you go to our home page, you can view a new video from our 2008 camp session created by Kaila Williams. We are well underway in our planning for our 2009 summer camp sessions. Volunteer applications will be available in Jan. of 2009.
SPEAK OUT: We have just completed a speaking tour in rural Illinois, Mexico and Los Angeles. Between the three tours we spoke to over 2,000 individuals. We have several speaking engagements coming up in Nebraska and Iowa over the first week of December. We are also booking our 2009 Los Angeles Tours. I Know: We have completed our educational book and supplemental video, by Delish Productions. The product is being made available to any health teacher in the Los Angeles area. The book can now be viewed online by clicking here.
Student Affected by AIDS Scholarship Fund: Project Kindle will be awarding scholarships to several applicants for the spring of 2009. Stay tuned for further updates.
